Kidd Invite

An Intimate Evening Of Q&A With Chip Kidd
The Creative Workers Union would like to invite you to come see the Designer, Writer and Musician, Chip Kidd, on Sunday February 24 at 6:00 pm. The event will be held in the Dakota Lounge at The Belmont. The perfect lounge setting for you to cozy up to an industry great.

We at the CWU feel it is important to let our creative guests shed the monotony of the regular dog and pony show. This is your chance to learn just what makes their noggin muscle stretch its mighty gray matter. In this case, Chip Kidd has graciously agreed to be the target of our question-firing James Lipton wannabe. Even better, the questions will be provided by you! Now is your chance to ask the ever burning questions you have for Chip. For example, if you have been wondering like we have, if Chip believes in a god and if so, what typeface would he/she be using for their letter head? If you want the best chance of your question heard, the best bet is to submit it before hand here.
There is a door cover of  $10.00  which goes to help fund events held by the Creative Workers Union.

We're trying to accommodate all of you that would like to attend the event, and hope that you can help by sending us an RSVP. The space is limited and only those with confirmed reservation are guaranteed admittance.

Thanks so much for your support, and we're looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, 24 February.

Chip Kidd Reads His New Book: The Learners
February 25th, 7:00 PM at Bookpeople
That's right folks, Chip will also be appearing at Bookpeople to read and sign his new book "The Learners."

Chip's new novel is about Happy. Happy is a fresh-from-college graphic designer (see art assistant), who responds to his own ad recruiting volunteers for a psychological experiment at Yale. The results are devastating and Happy is forced to examine some very nasty elements of human nature. This book is beautiful and tragic and every bit as deserving of celebration as his incredible book jackets.

So lets also show Chip our support/heckling by
showing up at Bookpeople and hear it straight from the designer's mouth.
